Jenny Fernanda was raised in San Cristobal, Galapagos. She performed her undergraduate carreer in Guayaquil at ESPOL and in the United States at the University of Florida.
Jenny has been renowned (nationally and internationally) by her academic and personal advancements related to the environmental conservation and protection of the Galapagos islands.
Her graduate and undergraduate studies, focused on the Galapagos visitors and ecotourism have provided pertinent information to local organizations in Galapagos. Jenny's master thesis, as well as her research studies have been published in the locality and by the University of Florida Graduate Journal.
